Out of 1,515 applications of startups from 118 countries, we were selected as one of the top 50 of K-Startup Grand Challenge 2017. A team from our company has been invited and stationed at Pangyo Techno Valley in Seoul to participate in the accelerating program for 4 months.
K-Startup Grand Challenge is a startup accelerator program supported by the government of South Korea. It aims to promote the expansion of an open entrepreneurship ecosystem and to assist Korea’s evolution into a global startup hub in Asia. This program partnered with Korean business giants such as Samsung, Hyundai, SK Group, Kakao, and KT Corporation that provide their expertise of local Korean and global markets to all the startups.
During this program, SmartPeep had been provided with expert mentoring and education on startup business and investments. Besides, we had been given a chance to exchange our ideas and network, as well as interacting with the programme’s partner companies through conferences and workshops.
We were selected by SparkLabs Accelerator, one of five Korean accelerators along with the Korean National Information, Communications, Technology (ICT) Promotion Agency (NIPA) handling the Grand Challenge Program. From B2B software, healthcare artificial intelligence to smart home technology, there are a total of 10 global startups selected and powered by SparkLabs in K-Startup Grand Challenge 2017. SmartPeep is proud to be part of the family.
“We would like to express our gratitude to the mentorship and network NIPA and Sparklabs provided us with, SmartPeep has been able to achieve so much in Korea in a very short period. We are excited for our journey ahead and will constantly improve our product via technology to better serve our community,” our CEO said.
