SmartPeep has been invited by Clinical Research Centre to join the first Malaysia STROKE Conference on 20 and 21 April 2019. It was organised by Malaysia Stroke Council and located at The Wembley Hotel, George Town, Penang, Malaysia.
This year’s conference acted as a platform for sharing and exchange of evidence-based practices and scientific endeavours among the health professionals – that truly signifies this year’s conference theme – ‘Let’s Declare the War against stroke in 2019!’.
During the first Malaysia STROKE Conference, Ministry of Health Malaysia, Director-General of Health, Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah disclosed some worrying trends to the attendees. Stroke is a huge challenge to Malaysian healthcare facilities with an average of 92 admissions each day. There is about 40% of the admitted patients are aged below 60 years, about 32 people die from stroke every day, but only 3 out of every 10 stroke survivors can regain some form of mobility or independence.
Everyone is needed on board to provide better care for stroke patients. A good after care is a must for the stroke patients. We assist stroke patients recovery in a safe place by assisting the nurses and caregivers to monitor them 24/7, record and report patients’ recovery progress with our AI system.
