Join us in congratulating Ms.Samshakira Binti Samuri or known as Kyra, a nursing team lead at Family Care Centre Johor Bahru (FCCJB). She is nominated as the Nursing Hero for this year International Nurses Day! 

Kyra has 10 years experience in elderly care. She shows so much kindness, compassion and is incredibly patient to the senior residents.

“She is very passionate about growing and improving her nursing team to provide the best quality care to the residents in need,” shared by Ms. Chris Tan, Manager of FCCJB. “Even though she has been working with FCCJB for 2 years, she is still very much hands-on in managing elderly care and practicing her nursing skills. I am very proud of her.”

Story of Kyra and Madam Deborah

Madam Deborah, a senior resident at FCCJB Retirement Home, who has Dementia and breast cancer for over 10 years. Madam Deborah has been with the FCCJB for 2 years. Kyra mentioned, "We love her and care for her with all of our hearts and passion. We will make the most wonderful memories with her. Time flies, we had no idea we were already creating memories this far.” 

Kyra has always been on standby 24 hours to assist Madam Deborah and other residents. 

With the help of Kyra and her team, Madam Deborah has made great progress in recovery, emotionally and physically more stable than before and she is happy that it is caught in front of her eyes.
